Boston MedFlight team is an experienced, high performance team providing expertise in quality patient care. Our team pairs critical care transport nurses and paramedics on all of our patient transports.
Helicopter Pilot in Command
Helicopter Pilot in Command
  • ATP rating - highest level of competency available.
  • Employees of Era Helicopters, LLC (formerly Keystone)
  • All maintain proficiency in single pilot IFR operations

Fixed Wing Pilot in Command
  • ATP rating - highest level of competency available
  • Employees of Boston Air Charter
  • All maintain proficiency in IFR operations
  • Certified to operate in Cheyenne and Citation aircraft

Critical Care Nurses
  • Massachusetts Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 5 years of Emergency department and Intensive Care Unit experience preferred
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in nursing
  • NRP, PALS, ACLS, BCLS, CEN, and CCRN certifications

  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic in Massachusetts
  • Minimum of 5 years EMS experience preferred
  • Bachelors Degree preferred

Specialty Pediatric/Neonatal Teams
Specialty Pediatric/Neonatal Teams Boston MedFlight, in conjunction with our consortium hospitals, makes every effort to accommodate the transport of patients requiring specialized care. While our own critical care transport teams care for many pediatric and neonatal patients, we also work collaboratively with specialty teams from Children’s Hospital Boston, the Massachusetts General Hospital for Children, and the Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.

Equipment Retrieval
As a courtesy to pre-hospital providers, Boston MedFlight makes every effort to retrieve, clean, and return all of the pre-hospital equipment belonging to the agencies that have utilized Boston MedFlight from the consortium hospitals. Requirements include:

  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician in Massachusetts
  • Licensed Massachusetts driver in good standing
  • Working knowledge of pre-hospital equipment, safety standards, and universal precautions
