35 Years of Service - Celebrating a Milestone During a Pandemic

December 03, 2020 2020 marks Boston MedFlight’s 35th year of service since our founding in 1985.  We are proud of these decades of service to the region, which has included providing critical care transport to more than 80,000 patients in need. While we had planned to recognize this important milestone with a celebration this fall, we of course made the prudent decision to postpone the event due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and in the interest of the health and safety of our staff, supporters and friends. Our plan, if circumstances allow, is to host this event next fall, on October 21, 2021. This “35+1” event will bring guests together at Boston MedFlight’s headquarters at Hanscom Field in Bedford, MA (newly constructed and opened in 2018), in the unique setting of our 20,000 square foot aircraft hangar with the backdrop of our critical care transport vehicles, which guests will have the opportunity to explore up close. It promises to be a fun and festive celebration that will highlight Boston MedFlight’s lifesaving, nonprofit mission, and the vital role the organization plays in the healthcare continuum.

We will be recognizing our 35 years of service in other ways in the coming months, so please stay tuned for more. Additionally, with the help of our 35th Anniversary Celebration Committee volunteers, we will be encouraging the Boston MedFlight community to support the event and honor 35 years of service by becoming an event sponsor. If you are interested in learning more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Boston MedFlight’s Chief Development Officer, Tom Hudner, at tom.hudner@bostonmedflight.org.
